Kings Court – ‘Best Change of Use to Existing Building’ Recognition

We provided quantity surveying and programme management services to Emerald Bay Construction on their Kings Court office to residential conversion, creating more town centre living in Warrington.  The conversion recently received a LABC* North West regional recognition award for ‘Best Change of Use to Existing Building’.

The project will now be entered into the National Awards, held in November.

Kings Court is a £5 million office to residential conversion. The building is close to Warrington Central Station and the town’s bus interchange. Previously the building was used for commercial office space on the upper floors and now it comprises 32 apartments, a mixture of 1 & 2 bedrooms.  Each apartment is unique in size and layout and was individually designed to make best use of the available space.

Cllr Terry O’Neill, leader of Warrington Borough Council has said about the conversion: “A key objective within Warrington’s framework for growth is to repopulate the town centre and the Kings Court development is one of the largest residential development projects that has been brought forward in decades.
